Karri Karrak Tourism Plan

Each year the Busselton-Margaret River region attracts around 84,000 international visitors and 1.6 million domestic visitors, generating $614M and presenting a major opportunity for Karri Karrak members.

With this opportunity in mind, the Corporation has secured the support of Tourism WA to develop the Karri Karrak Tourism Plan.

Karri Karrak is excited by the opportunity to work with Tourism WA on the development of a strategy that will guide the Corporation’s participation in the tourism economy with the aim of growing wealth for the benefit of its members.

The Tourism Plan will seek to identify:

  • The level of interest for joint tourism ventures with Karri Karrak

  • Any infrastructure investment required by the Corporation as a potential tourism landholder via the Noongar Land Estate

  • Potential tourism business opportunities for individuals or family groups.

Karri Karrak members involved in tourism or related industries, or have a vision for Noongar tourism in the region, are invited to register their interest in the consultation process taking place on 14 April 2025.

Email us at kaya@karrikarrak.org.au before COB Friday 28 March with a brief statement outlining your background and interest in being consulted on this important project.
