On Saturday, 24 May 2025, triple j’s One Night Stand returned to WA to rock out on Noongar Boodja in Busselton.
All ticket proceeds were donated to Support Act, The Push, Undalup Association, and Karri Karrak Aboriginal Corporation.
The concert raised an impressive $60,600 for the Corporation! We will use this to help us continue our priority of empowering our youth through the Karri Karrak Junior Ranger Program.
This important program supports our rangers to undertake accredited training in Conservation and Land Management as well as working alongside the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
Our rangers do important work contributing to native species monitoring programs, adaptive management regimes, scientific surveys, and bushfire management. In turn, this helps safeguard cultural heritage sites, protected flora and fauna, their associated habitats, and human populations in the south west region.
On a community level, the program increases capacity for Custodianship activity, on-Country knowledge transfers, Noongar education and leadership, and supports pathways for land management careers for Noongar people.
We thank triple j for their awesome commitment to our young leaders and supporting the work protecting Country and culture for future generations.
All 15,000 tickets sold out in under six hours, setting a new record. The event was a massive success with one of our highlights being First Nations act 3% which included special guests Noongar Wongi hip-hop artists Flewnt and Inkabee.
We loved working with young Noongar photographer Alfie Stack, an accomplished artist who was on ground all day to capture the action.
Our staff had a great time at the Karri Karrak stall yarning with community and selling our new tote bags, long sleeve tees, and hoodies.
Thanks again triple j.
