Unlock Your Independence with the Karri Karrak Boodja Kaditj-Kaditj (Country Car) Program

Are you living in Bunbury, Capel, Manjimup, Margaret River or in-between and would love to get your driver’s licence, but need a bit of extra help?

What we offer

Support: Assistance with applications for learner’s permits, compiling necessary documents like getting ID, and navigating the licensing process.

Driving Lessons: Access to a licensed vehicle for supervised driving hours with a driving supervisor or instructor to get your logbook done and build your driving experience.

Financial Assistance: Help with licensing fees and document costs.

Mentoring: Guidance and support throughout the licensing journey.

The Karri Karrak Boodja Kaditj-Kaditj driver training program supports individuals of all ages across the region who face barriers to obtaining their driver’s license—such as not having access to a vehicle or a supervising driver.

The program connects these learners with a fully licensed mentor who will provide guidance and support throughout their driving practice.

Our program helps remove the barriers for people to build the skills and confidence required to become safe and capable drivers.

What does it cost?

This is a free program for eligible people, however there may be some limits on what can be provided.

Who can apply?

If you'd like to join the program, here’s what you’ll need to be eligible:

  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia.
