Community Programs Officer - Driver Access and Equity Program

Karri Karrak Aboriginal Corporations has received funding to extend the Driver Access and Equity Program!

The Driver Access and Equity Program (funded by the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure) aims to improve access to Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) services as well as driving supervisors, instructors, and vehicles to help people get their driver's license.

The Driving Access and Equity Program helps people in these areas by:

  • improving access to vehicles, driving instructors and supervisors to help people learn to drive;

  • helping people overcome issues and costs that may prevent them from obtaining their license; and

  • increasing access to DTMI services.

We are seeking an additional staff member to help us deliver the DAEP for an additional year. This will be a part-time position (three days per week), based at our Vasse location with extensive regional travel throughout the south west required. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a National Police Clearance no more than six months old (or be willing to obtain one)

  • Must have a current Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)

  • Must have a full driver’s license, with at least four years of experience as a fully licensed, non-provisional driver

  • Experience working in delivery of community programs will be highly regarded.
