Member Briefings - ORIC Registrar initiated changes

ORIC has advised that ‘Registrar initiated changes’ to the rule books of all the Regional Corporations in the South West are currently being considered by the Registrar.

This follows the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) holding a Meeting of Interested Persons in October last year.

Proposed changes to the rule book are an important matter for the membership of the Corporation.

The Board and CEO have sought independent advice as well as met with the State Government and the Trustee about what this means for the members, the Corporation and its compliance with the Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) with the State of Western Australia.

This information will be delivered to members at upcoming sessions facilitated by Luke Yates from Mungah Facilitation and Nicole Casley, Governance adviser and former Karri Karrak Director .

Briefings will be held on the following days:

Online session: Monday, June 29th 2pm - 3:30pm. A meeting link will be sent one hour prior to commencement.

Busselton: Tuesday, June 30th 10am - 12pm, Esplanade Hotel Busselton
