Congratulations to talented artist and Karri Karrak member, Sandra Hill, for receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Curtin University 2023 Alumni Awards.

Sandra was acknowledged for encouraging truth-telling and education through her paintings.

She describes her work as a historical visual essay drawn from her own experiences and the injustice of living under the Native Welfare regime in Aboriginal Western Australia.
